Reading YHA and Outdoor Group was refounded in 1979 and since then has grown to over 100 members. The group is based in Reading but attracts people of all ages from all around the region. In 2001 we changed to the simpler name – Reading Outdoor Group.
The group is affiliated to the Youth Hostel Association of England and Wales (YHA) and is recognised as an official Local YHA group. However, youth-hostelling only forms a small part of our varied programme and our members do not need to join the National YHA unless they wish to stay at a Youth Hostel.
